20 Year Girl Arrested For Faking Pregnancy
money from her boyfriend, Francis Osei Bonsu.
The Station Officer of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), Inspector Who Knows Attipoe, told journalists in Accra yesterday that somewhere in June this year the suspect reported to DOVVSU at her boyfriend, Bonsu, a businessman, had impregnated her and had failed to cater for her.
He said DOVVSU referred the case to the Social Welfare where Bonsu was asked to remit an amount of GH¢50 every month and also take care of her
medical expenses until she delivered.
Inspector Attipoe said Bonsu subsequently started paying the Money through the Social Welfare to Ivy.
Later, Bonsu suspected that Ivy was not pregnant and decided to stop paying the money and was later called by the officials of the Social Welfare to explain
why. Inspector Attipoe said officials of the Social Welfare, then referred the case to a Family Tribunal Court in Accra where it was decided that Bonsu pays GH¢100 every month and rent a place for her.
According to the station officer, he paid the GH¢100 once and did not pay again because he was still suspicious that Ivy was not really pregnant. Inspector Attipoe said when he failed to pay the
following month, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest on December 9.
At the court, Bonsu insisted that he suspected the pregnancy was faked.
The court therefore, conducted an examination on her and realised that Ivy had tied rags around her belly and she was subsequently arrested.
The Crime officer said she would be put before court for defrauding by false pretence and deceit of a public officer.
In an interview with the suspect, Ivy claimed she got pregnant with Bonsu, but later had a miscarriage.
She said she did that to pay the man back because Bonsu promised to cater for her but reneged.
".... Why I Sold My Two Babies To Traffickers" - Mother
illicit trade of giving birth and selling her babies.
According to her, after having her children, she had no money to cater for them, hence the option of selling them out, believing that those who have the
money to buy them will be able to take care of them while she uses the proceeds for her up keep.
"I have nobody to help me and I am jobless, I don't always want the children to suffer in my hands and the only option I believe is to give them to those who are looking for children and can take care of them," she said.
Are this reasons good enough for her to sell her babies she carried inside her womb for nine months.... Some women can be so wicked and foolish..

Nolubabalo was today being held in custody after being held at Bangkok's international Suvarnabhumi Airport as she disembarked a Qatar Airways flight
which had come from Sao Paolo via Doha. The Bangkok Post reported that the suspect had allegedly admitted trying to smuggle the drug and claimed she had done so after being hired to work as a drug mule by a Thailand based businessman for £1,200 (60,000baht).
Thailand has some of the toughest anti-drugs laws on the planet, with judges permitted to impose the death penalty for traffickers. The South African's arrest follows the execution of another South African citizen this week for drug smuggling in China. Janice Linden, 38, was killed by lethal injection on Monday after she was caught in November 2008 trying to smuggle 3kg of crystal meth into the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
South Africa's president Jacob Zuma appealed unsuccessfully to the Chinese government to commute the sentence before she was put to death in prison.
The smuggled cocaine had a street value of £93,000... Nolubabalo, 23, was hired as a drug mule for £1,200...

AT LAST! BANKY W OPENS UP ON WIZKID ALLEGED WOMANISING
But it's so disheartening that, there has been much controversies for Wizkid.
Wizkid has faced with too many controversies through the year, ranging from impregnating an undergraduate, to allegedly stealing the Pakurumo song, to the internet unclad picture scandal, the rumoured affair between him and sexy actress Tonto Dike and other 'illicit' affair-he's sure got a bagful of scandals rocking his back.
In a recent interview,Banky W reacts to Wizkid alleged womanizing and the rest of the rumour.
"First, the Bible says train your child the way he should go so that when he grows,he will not depart from it.So, I believe if you put the right thing in place and the right training in place and you do the right thing at the beginning. I think Wiz has a good training spirit and I believe he has learnt that from his parents because I took him up two and half years ago. He has great parents and we love them and we have constant communication with them".
We need to thank them raising a solid boy like Wiz. So,I am acting as his big brother and boss and I constantly talk to him and the other artiste,Skales. I try to instill discipline in them and level of focus too.
Obviously, they live with me and it is very easy to checkmate them and provide the disciplinary roles necessary. So,they take to my advice.
Asked, there were some unpleasant reports about Wizkid. As his boss, I want you to react to some. He was alleged to be a womanizer? He said: "On the
alleged womanizing and the rest of the
rumour,I am not a stranger when it comes to rumour. In fact,I have a lot of experience when it comes to rumour and it's always coming up when you have become a recognized figure.
There are lots of people that will love you and appreciate you and at the same time, some people's job is to slander your personality. They will spread as many as possible rumours about you. If you ask them why they are spreading the rumour, they will not have a definite answer other than they don't just like you. With that,Iam not going to address anybody that wants to tarnish my image and that of my artistes.
