Solomon and his late wife, Ngozi
Nothing gave Solomon Okelezo, Sol Records Chief Operating officer, an inkling that the dinner he shared with his wife and mother of his two children last Sunday night was the last they’d have together .
On that fateful night, as a tradition, the couple had knelt beside their bed to thank God for His mercies. But little did Sol (as the record label owner is more popularly called by friends and associates) know he was sharing the last prayers with his wife.
Ngozi died the following day, Monday, November 29, as a result of excessive loss of blood, moments after she’d been successfully delivered of her third child, a baby boy.
Solomon Okelezo is today crying foul, and pointing accusing fingers at the management of the General hospital, Igando, whom according to him, refused to attend to his wife as she was bleeding profusely in spite of all his pleadings.
“They killed my wife,” he lamented to Showtime over the phone.
He continued, “they refused for more than two hours to attend to my bleeding wife because they claimed she did not register for her ante-natal at the hospital. The doctors and nurses at the hospital watched as my wife bled to death without lifting a hand
