Delta State University, Abraka on Saturday 8th September awarded the first lady Patience Jonathan & the Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala honourary Doctorate degrees.
Mrs. Jonathan was represented Zainab Maina, the minister of Women Affairs & Social Development. "the award was an evidence of friendliness and support for her efforts and pledged to support the state in the task of building the university" she said
Mrs Iweala however thanked the University, Student and the Governor for the honour. She also donated N1 million and N500,000 for the best students of post graduate class and undergraduate respectively.
