As the 2012 Olympics kicks off in its first day, results and scores are already seeping in from the London games as the first gold, silver and bronze medallists have emerged.
China's representative, Siling Yi who bagged the gold medal has sure made history as the first athlete to win gold in this year's games. Yi won the Women's 10m 'Air Rifle' shooting game by beating her Polish opponent Bogacka Slywia and teammate Yu Dan to clinch the top title.
In Rowing, the host country pair of Helen Glover and Heather Stanning broke a new record with six minutes, 57.29 seconds, topping the chart in the first heat of the game.
