Nigeria's
music artiste, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has won an
award as the Best International Act at the 2012 Black Entertainment
Television (BET) awards held on Sunday night of July 1.
Wizkid
won the prestigious awards with his Ghanaian counterpart, Sarkodie
yesterday. The show was held The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles,
California, USA. It was hosted by veteran Hollywood actor, Samuel L
Jackson.
Wizkid
and Sarkodie won in the Best International Act (Africa) category. The
two artistes have been tipped to win the awards before yesterday.
2Face and D'Banj jointly won the BET awards in 2011.
Other winners of 2012 awards were Jay Z, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Beyonce and others.
